Salary: £39,398 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: London (The role will be based at London; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)
Role Details: The Relationship Manager role involves working with a range of Visual Art organisations and artists in London. You will be responsible for giving funding advice, assessing grant applications, understanding project information and monitoring performance. This includes assessing financial information, identifying risk and providing feedback on artistic plans. As a Visual Art Relationship Manager, you will be expected to engage with a wide range of areas including artist studio workspace and place-based development.
You will have a keen interest in creativity and visual arts, particularly enabling accessible workspace for artists, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. You will be able to support others to make positive change and be comfortable communicating with colleagues and external contacts at all levels.
You will join a team consisting of seven Relationship Managers, one Assistant, three Senior Relationship Managers and the Director of Individual Practitioners. The team currently manages the funding relationship with a diverse portfolio of around 60 National Portfolio Organisations as well as grants to individual artists and makers.
You will contribute to the development and delivery of Arts Council's strategies, working with colleagues nationally, and should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the London Visual Art sector. In addition, will take a lead in championing affordable artist workspace in London as a cross-cutting specialism.
