Behaviour Mentor

Contract: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Nurture Education is seeking a confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a primary or secondary school setting in London. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people manage their emotions, develop resilience, and re-engage positively with learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide one-to-one and small group support, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in class and during unstructured times.
• Implementing behaviour intervention strategies to improve engagement and outcomes.
• Building trusting relationships to encourage positive choices and personal growth.
• Working collaboratively with staff and parents to support individual behaviour plans.
• Promoting an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.

• Calm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with young people.
• Experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviour (school or youth setting desirable).
• Skilled in de-escalation and positive behaviour management techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

Desirable:

• Training in behaviour management, mentoring, or emotional regulation strategies.
• Background in psychology, youth work, or education.
