Chief Data Officer - Lloyd's of London

We are partnering with a high-growth, international reinsurance firm to appoint a Chief Data Officer (CDO) - a newly created, strategic leadership role at the heart of the business.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a firm-wide data strategy in an organisation where data is seen as a true differentiator - powering insights, enhancing client experience, and enabling innovation.

It would be well-suited to someone who is already operating in a leadership role in the Loyd's of London marketplace i.e. as a Head of Data (or similar), and is looking to step into a C-level role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business and revenue goals
• Own and evolve the enterprise-wide data model to support analytics and seamless tech integration
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and deliver high-impact insights across financial forecasting, segmentation, and carrier analysis
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure quality, integrity, and compliance
• Enable the use of AI and big data technologies in collaboration with innovation and tech teams

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in the Lloyd's of London marketplace
• Proven experience in data strategy, governance, and analytics leadership
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into business value
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in the insurance sector

Benefits:

• Salary of around £120-160,000 depending on experience
