Shift Team Leader - Warehouse Operations

Location: Stanwell Moor
Salary: Competitive + shift allowance ( to 40K )
Reports to: Shift Manager / Warehouse Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Team Leader to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring that operations run smoothly, accurately, and safely. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives to meet tight deadlines for picking, packing, and dispatching stock for our trade customers.

You'll be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, promoting a safe working environment, and motivating your team to achieve performance and accuracy targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate a team of warehouse operatives
• Ensure all picking, packing, and dispatch tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
• Delegate duties and monitor team performance throughout the shift
• Carry out quality checks and ensure stock is handled and stored correctly
• Manage inbound and outbound deliveries during the night shift
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to the Manager
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies
• Train and support new team members
• Operate MHE (e.g. pallet trucks, forklifts) where required (training provided if needed)
• Support stock takes and inventory accuracy
• Handle last-minute changes to orders or delivery schedules

Key Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a supervisory/team leader role in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Understanding of warehouse operations, particularly for trade or B2B supply
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Comfortable working night shifts and in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills (for stock systems, shift reporting, etc.)
• A forklift license or MHE experience is desirable but not essential
