Mechanical Sales Support Engineer

A Mechanical Sales Support Engineer with experience of working in an Engineering support role (Mechanical) will take on a challenging and diverse role to support a global leader in automation and control products. The ideal Mechanical Sales Support Engineer will be a good team player, be confident communicating by phone and email and ideally possess some industrial exposure to automation systems, pneumatics and/or control systems.

Requirements for the Mechanical Sales Support Engineer include:

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
• Previous experience working in technical sales support or applications engineering.
• The ability to communicate well both internally and externally.
• Some hands-on testing and diagnostic experience.
• Exposure to industrial automation, pneumatics and/or control systems beneficial.
• Willingness to be fully on-site apart from occasional travel.

In this role the successful Mechanical Sales Support Engineer will support both the sales team and customers, building a solid understanding of the range of products (with training); getting involved with new product development proposal activities, competitor product analysis as well as application development.
