• 6 am start with 8 to 10-hour day shift
• Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

A leading refuse and recycling company is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Dust Cart Drivers to join its busy team of drivers and loaders located in Romford, Havering.

The Role

As a Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 refuse vehicle, collecting household, recycled, and green waste from primarily residential areas. This is a hands-on role that involves both driving and occasional loading duties.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and transport household, recycled, and green waste from residential addresses.
• Operate the refuse vehicle to collect refuse/recycling from designated areas and dispose of it at approved waste collection sites.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Perform both driving and loading duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid commercial HGV Class 2 driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type. (No more than 6 Points)
• Valid CPC and Tacho card
• Previous experience as a Dust Cart Driver with rear steer skills preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with waste management and recycling operations is advantageous.
• A strong commitment to safety practices while driving, for both your colleagues and the general public.
