The school has a strong focus on creativity and hands-on learning, and is looking for a Design Technology Teacher to join the team on a long-term basis.

The Role:
You ll be teaching DT across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is a bonus, but not essential), delivering lessons in areas such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Engineering. You ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, practical lessons, maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop, and helping students build skills that go beyond the classroom.
What You ll Be Doing:
Delivering creative and well-structured lessons that bring design concepts to life
Supporting students to develop practical skills and confidence in the subject
Marking work, tracking progress, and giving meaningful feedback
Keeping the workshop safe, tidy, and fully stocked
Collaborating with the DT department on resources, planning, and curriculum development
Taking part in school activities and wider staff duties when needed
What We re Looking For:
QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential
Experience teaching DT in a secondary school setting
Good knowledge across the DT curriculum
Someone who s enthusiastic, hands-on, and confident in the workshop
Strong behaviour management and the ability to motivate students
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
