Electrician

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician with a background in commercial new build projects. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within newly constructed commercial buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical skills, particularly in electrical systems for large-scale, high-traffic facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working on electrical projects in commercial construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across various commercial new build sites, including office spaces, retail units, and industrial facilities.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and local codes.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure high-quality electrical work and adherence to safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, providing prompt solutions to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with other building infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including risk assessments, method statements, and compliance documentation.
• Follow health and safety procedures and ensure safe working practices on-site at all times.
• Collaborate with other electricians and project teams to ensure efficient work practices and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

• ECS Gold Card (Electrical Certification Scheme).
• Proven experience as an Electrician within the commercial construction sector, preferably with new build projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and safety standards for commercial buildings.
• Experience in working on complex electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Solid understanding of health and safety practices and regulations in the electrical trade.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Previous experience working on large-scale commercial projects is desirable.
