We are currently collaborating with numerous schools in Tower Hamlets and surrounding areas who are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors and HLTA's to join our team on a flexible basis. This role is perfect for individuals who are available for last-minute assignments starting early in the morning and are open to positions that could potentially become long-term or permanent.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Be available to receive phone calls from 7am for same-day assignments.
- Supervise classes and manage behaviour during the absence of the regular class teacher.
- Ensure that pre-set work is completed by students, maintaining a focused and productive environment.
- Assist in preparing learning materials under the direction of the teacher.
- Manage classroom resources and setup required for class activities.
- Provide feedback on student performance to teachers and help manage class behaviour.
- Adapt to varying educational settings and student needs with flexibility and a positive attitude.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in an educational setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to last-minute calls.
- A professional and patient approach to managing classroom environments.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
