Site Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a 6-month earthworks project in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale cut & fill, remediation, and excavation scheme, contributing to critical infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing all site engineering activities, ensuring project specifications and quality standards are met.

• Carrying out setting out and surveying duties for cut & fill, excavation, and remediation works.

• Monitoring progress and providing technical guidance to site teams.

• Conducting quality control checks and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and project managers to maintain smooth workflow.

• Assisting in the preparation of site reports, method statements, and risk assessments.

• Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping of site works.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on earthworks or civil engineering projects.

• Strong knowledge of cut & fill, excavation, remediation, and bulk earthworks.

• Proficiency in setting out techniques using GPS, Total Stations, and AutoCAD.

• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Relevant engineering qualification (Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or similar).

• CSCS card and a valid UK driving license.
