Our client, a well-established division of a leading international company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their expert team specialising in diesel-powered machinery across the UK.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of a wide range of diesel-powered machinery. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality preventative maintenance, servicing, installation, and repair services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out comprehensive preventative maintenance on various diesel-powered machines
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, installation, and repair
Conduct fault diagnosis and rectification of engine, alternator, and control systems
Generate detailed service reports and liaise with contract managers and head office
Adhere to the company's health and safety, quality, and environmental policies
Complete risk assessments and participate in the on-call rota
REQUIREMENTS
Background in servicing and maintaining diesel engines, alternators, and/or controls
Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
Strong diagnostic abilities and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to health and safety, quality, and environmental policies
Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions
Full UK driving licence (ECS or other industry certification desirable)
