Job Title: Manufacturing Controller
Department Overview:
The Manufacturing Controller will be responsible for managing the issuance, receipt, and oversight of stores and inventory within a storage environment. This role also includes the loading, tracking, and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing stock control and storekeeping, including monitoring shelf life.
• Allocating jobs to manufacturing cells based on planned lead times and cycle times to ensure alignment with production programs and delivery schedules.
• Packing tasks, including the use of hand tools, as well as receiving and issuing tooling.
• Updating computer-based records.
• Overseeing kitting activities.
• Loading and unloading of lorries.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience in a stores or manufacturing control environment.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Flexible approach to tasks.
• Manual handling training.
• Lifting & Slinging training (including overhead cranes).
• ESD training.

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in PC applications, particularly Excel.
• Forklift truck license.
• Knowledge of Kanban and 2-bin systems.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Planning Systems such as SAP.
