Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons as an ICT/Computing Teacher, covering a range of topics including programming, cybersecurity, and digital literacy.
  • Develop students' understanding of computing principles and their real-world applications.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to foster a passion for technology and problem-solving.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Encourage students to engage in coding, robotics, and digital design projects.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, competitions, and industry partnerships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum and integrate emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an ICT/Computing Teacher at the secondary or post-16 level is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML.
  • Passion for technology and its role in modern education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
