We are looking for a Resident Shift Engineer to join the Resident Maintenance team on a prestigious client site in West London. The Whiteley is a redevelopment of an iconic London landmark to reimagine new life. The 109-year-old Grade II listed mall on Queensway includes private residences, UK's first Six Senses hotel, unique restaurants and more.
The role will initially be days 4 on 4 off moving to days and nights in the future.
Job Overview
Purpose of the role
- To provide first response / self-delivery of maintenance and engineering services for the MSD maintenance contract portfolio.
- To complete PPM tasks and activities in accordance with contracted service level agreements.
- To complete reactive works in accordance with contracted service level agreements.
- To complete quoted works in accordance with contracted service level agreements.
- To provide attendance on site where sub-contractors are required to complete specialist works.
- To provide supervision when necessary where sub-contractors are required to complete specialist works.
- To identify requirements for additional works where the completion of planned and reactive works cannot be completed first time.
- To complete electronic and hard copy documentation to ensure that works completed can be evidenced through continuous audit and review.
- To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- To complete surveys, audits, reviews of building assets when requested in order to assist with the compilation of reports.
- To ensure that the company values are observed throughout, maintaining high levels conduct, quality, sustainability, value for money and efficiency.
- To be available for overtime as and when business demands require.
- To be available for shift works in line with working patterns for the contract.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies Required
A qualification in at least one of the following:
- C&G Level 3 or equivalent in relevant subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration)
- ONC/HNC building services engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering
- NVQ Level 3
- Recognised EITB apprenticeship (Maintenance and Operations Engineering MOET), or similar)
- Experience of providing engineering and maintenance services within the building services industry (2 years +)
- Fully conversant with electrical and mechanical maintenance activities processes and procedures
- Competency in basic IT and computer skills
- Holder of full driving licence (where applicable
