Contract: Full-time, term-time only Start Date: ASAP Salary: £25,000 - £33,000 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral and Personal Development Lead to join our team. This is a non-teaching role that is central to promoting pupils wellbeing, personal growth, and engagement in school life.
The successful candidate will support pupils and families across a broad range of responsibilities, including attendance monitoring, pastoral and behaviour support, family liaison, pupil voice, and the coordination of trips and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for families on attendance, pastoral and behaviour issues
Serve as the student wellbeing lead, delivering 1:1 and small group sessions focused on resilience and personal development
Monitor and improve pupil attendance and punctuality, working closely with families
Work with staff, families, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning
Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing across the school
Provide pastoral and behaviour support through tailored interventions
Coordinate school trips, visits, enrichment activities and the Duke of Edinburgh programme
Lead on pupil voice initiatives, ensuring pupils views are heard and acted upon
Support behaviour management strategies and promote a positive school culture
Lead on school assemblies and provide guidance for form tutors
Person Specification Essential:
Experience supporting children or young people in a pastoral, wellbeing, or attendance role
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Empathy, resilience, and the ability to build strong relationships
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
Desirable:
Experience in a school or educational setting
Knowledge of attendance legislation and behaviour strategies
Experience coordinating enrichment, extracurricular or school trips
Training in behaviour management, mentoring, or wellbeing support
