Veritas Education is partnering with secondary schools in North West and West London to recruit dedicated and adaptable HumanitiesGraduate Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. Roles are full-time, term-time only, and available to start as soon as possible.

Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Proactively support students in reaching their academic potential.
• Encourage active engagement with learning, fostering a positive classroom environment.
• Support a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student development.

What We're Looking For:

• Educated to degree level in any Humanities subject
• Engaging and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in education.
• A confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Knowledgeable or experienced in supporting students, including those with SEN and learning difficulties.
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to the well-being of young people.
• Reliable, proactive, and dedicated to helping students achieve their potential.
• Able to work collaboratively with teachers and independently when required.

Desirable:

• Previous experience supporting students in an educational setting or through mentoring or tutoring
• Relevant training or certifications, such as Safeguarding, SEN, or Behaviour Management.
