The Role

• Work as a classroom-based Graduate Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with complex learning needs
• Collaborate with experienced educators and therapists to deliver:
• Tailored learning support
• Communication strategies
• Creative, therapeutic-inspired activities
• Provide nurturing care and structure to promote engagement and emotional safety
• Use arts-based or expressive techniques to enhance pupil participation and well-being
• Build a strong foundation for future roles in therapy, music and wellbeing, or mental health support

The Ideal Person and Skills/Education Needed

• Degree holders in relevant subjects such as:
• Social care, social work, nursing
• Art, music, or speech and language therapy
• Those considering future study in:
• Therapy, music therapy, speech therapy, creative arts in education, or SEND-focused MA/MSc programmes
• Compassionate, adaptable and creative individuals who value inclusive education
• Experience with children or young people in:
• Care, arts, health, or therapeutic contexts is highly transferable and welcomed

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only

If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
