Social Worker - Family Support Service - Milton Keynes Council

Our client, Milton Keynes Council, is seeking an agency social worker for its Family Support service.

This role will last 3 months initially, and the pay rate is £38 umbrella.

The role will involve the following:

• Completing statutory visits CIN, CP and LAC
• Chairing CIN and Core Group Meetings
• Holding case load of CIN, CP, and LAC
• To include some cases that may be in PLO, or S31 Care Proceedings.
• Completion of Court Reports, risk assessments and parenting assessments.
• Attending court with support of Senior practitioner or Team manager.
• Supporting with Duty rota.
• Attending ICPC and RCPC's, writing conference reports.
• Managing and assessing risk.
• Hybrid working

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
• Must have demonstrable experience of child protection work and court work including the duties listed above
