Are you a creative, inspiring, and patient Art Teacher with QTS? We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art Teacher (with Qualified Teacher Status) to join a specialist SEN school in Tonbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact on the lives of young people with a range of additional needs.

This well-established SEN school supports students with a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and mild to moderate learning difficulties. The school is known for its nurturing environment, therapeutic approach, and commitment to enabling every learner to thrive academically, socially, and creatively.

As the school's Art Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated Art lessons to secondary-aged students with SEN
• Plan creative projects that build students' confidence and artistic skills
• Adapt teaching methods to meet a wide range of learning needs and communication styles
• Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to ensure personalised progress
• Foster a classroom environment that is safe, calm, and encourages self-expression
• Support wider school activities, enrichment programmes, and cross-curricular art projects

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
• Experience teaching Art at KS3/KS4 (SEN experience highly desirable)
• A creative, flexible, and trauma-informed teaching approach
• Strong behaviour-management skills rooted in empathy and positive relationships
• A passion for supporting young people with diverse needs
• Ability to adapt curriculum content to meet individual learner profiles
