Job Requirements/Description

A high-achieving secondary school in Reading is seeking a committed Chemistry Teacher to start from January 2026. The role is suitable for an enthusiastic teacher able to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 to KS5, with a strong focus on academic excellence and practical science.

What you'll be doing:

  • Teaching Chemistry to students in KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Planning engaging practical and theoretical lessons
  • Tracking and supporting student attainment and progress
  • Ensuring laboratory safety and supporting science resources
  • Contributing to department planning and exam preparation

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential and non-negotiable
  • Relevant UK-based experience - essential
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
  • Enthusiastic, organised, and committed to student success
