Thermal Test Engineer -

Role: Thermal Test Engineer Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire (Gunnels Wood Rd, SG1 2AS) Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSSMy client, a global engineering consultancy, is seeking a Thermal Test Engineer to support environmental testing operations at a leading aerospace facility in Stevenage. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge innovation within a world-class test lab.

• Execute thermal vacuum and vibration tests on aerospace components
• Prepare and operate mechanical test rigs and instrumentation
• Review and analyze post-test data, compile reports and certifications
• Maintain test facilities and equipment to ensure operational readiness
• Support audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Deliver projects On Time, On Cost, and On Quality

• Solid understanding of thermal vacuum testing and mechanical processes
• Hands-on experience assembling mechanical test setups and interpreting technical documentation
• Ability to work independently and flexibly, including occasional weekend or double-day shifts
• Prior experience in a commercial test laboratory environment

• Use of bespoke test facilities and tooling
• Design and manufacture of custom test setups
• Familiarity with internal/external audit processes
• Strong communication skills for liaising with customers and stakeholders
