Our client, is currently seeking two experienced Principal Planners to join their dedicated team on a contract basis. offering hybrid working arrangements, including two days in the office or on-site. This is a temporary position for six months, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of minerals and waste planning projects
- Provide expert advice on planning applications and policy matters
- Coordinate and manage consultation processes for planning proposals
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning legislation and regulations
- Engage with various stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups
- Support the delivery of sustainable development objectives
- Mentor and guide junior planning staff as required
Job Requirements:
- Experience in minerals and waste planning
- Strong proficiency in development management processes
- Ability to interpret and apply planning legislation and policies
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- High-level written and verbal communication abilities
- Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Relevant planning degree or equivalent qualification
