The Director / Senior Director - Business Relationship Management (BRM) will oversee and expand relationships with Nordic corporate clients in the financial services industry. This role is based in London or Stockholm and requires strong relationships with bankers, arrangers and issuers. Fluent Swedish
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate new business through:
- Building relationships with intermediaries (DCM, Syndicate, Origination, LevFin) in the Nordic region.
- Direct marketing to corporate issuers (both rated and unrated).
- Raise the firm's profile through direct meetings, third-party events, and hosted marketing initiatives.
- Map and coordinate intermediary coverage across the region.
- Develop a strategic understanding of the firm's positioning in the non-financial corporates market.
- Manage a small portfolio of Nordic-based corporate issuer relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to produce pitchbooks and other materials.
- Lead execution processes including contract negotiation and documentation (e.g., Engagement Letters, NDAs).
- Contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and events.
- Travel frequently within the Nordic region.
Profile

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and debt capital markets (Investment Grade, High Yield, Leveraged Finance).
- Proven ability to originate new business and develop revenue from both existing and self-sourced leads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and at least one Scandinavian language (e.g., Swedish).
- Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and develop market strategy.
- Team-oriented with strong internal and external relationship-building skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of credit analysis and the role of credit ratings.
- Established relationships with bankers and corporate finance professionals in the Nordics.
- Broader contact base beyond the Nordic region.
- University degree in a business-related discipline; postgraduate or professional qualifications (e.g., MBA) are a plus.
