As a Commissioning Editor you will play a pivotal role in shaping their prestigious suite of medical and health journals, and this is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in clinical research and drug development. This role will work on a hybrid basis with three days in the office and two days

You will be responsible for:

Commissioning high quality content - identifying and developing engaging articles that resonate with the organisation's readership. Developing a thorough understanding of key therapy areas and emerging topics in biomedical sciences. Collaborating closely with authors, editorial boards, and key opinion leaders to foster relationships and enhance content quality. Overseeing Editorial Processes by ensuring a smooth peer review and editorial decision-making process, that maintains their high standards. Regularly assessing and reviewing processes to uphold industry-leading customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in biomedical sciences publishing and who enjoys researching scientific literature. We are looking for:

A degree in biomedical sciences, due to the nature of the role and its requirements Relevant demonstrable editorial/commissioning experience in medical/healthcare publishing or medical communications Experience with problem-solving, and making sure ideas are explored Strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine curiosity about the healthcare industry.
