Year 6 Teacher - Full Time Location: Barnet (Catholic 2-Form Entry Infant School) Salary: MPS - UPS (dependent on experience) Contract: Full Time - 1 Year via SANZA (with opportunity to go permanent after 1 year) Start Date: September 2026

SANZA Teaching Agency are working in partnership with a 2-form entry Catholic infant school who are seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Key Stage 2 practitioner to take on a Year 6 class within a supportive school environment that places strong emphasis on both academic achievement and pastoral care. The role will initially be offered as a 1-year contract through the agency, with an opportunity to become a permanent member of staff following successful completion of the year.

The school is currently entering an exciting new chapter, with a newly appointed Deputy Headteacher who has recently taken over leadership. This brings a fresh vision, renewed energy, and a clear opportunity for staff to help shape the direction of the school moving forward. The Role

The school are seeking a confident Year 6 Teacher who can take full responsibility for a class and deliver high-quality teaching across the KS2 curriculum.

Responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 6 curriculum Taking full responsibility for class teaching, planning, marking and assessment Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted interventions where required Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment Preparing pupils effectively for transition to secondary school Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Previous experience teaching Year 6 (essential) Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum Confident classroom and behaviour management skills Ability to plan, assess and differentiate effectively A proactive, positive and committed approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for primary education and pupil progress
