Electrical Technicians - Workshop & Field Service Roles
Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We're looking for talented engineers to join our growing team, working across a range of commercial and heavy industrial systems throughout the UK - with a focus on the southeast region.
This is a permanent position offering a mix of workshop-based and field service responsibilities, perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys taking ownership of their work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose, repair, and rewire complex electrical systems to the highest standard.
- Carry out routine maintenance, testing, and compliance checks in line with manufacturer and industry regulations.
- Independently identify faults and implement effective solutions.
- Deliver top-tier customer service and clear communication at every stage.
- Install electrical systems in accordance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Lead and support planned projects, shutdowns, and outages when required.
- Provide expert advice and technical support to clients.
What We're Looking For
- Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in fault finding, installation, repair, and commissioning within heavy or industrial engineering.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (preferably clean).
- Eligibility to pass relevant security clearances.
- Up-to-date knowledge of IEE regulations, with City & Guilds , and 2391 Inspection & Testing certificates.
Desirable Extras
- CompEx (1-4) training.
- Background in power generation, including prime movers and BOP systems.
- Experience with HV systems, motor testing, trace heating, and actuator testing.
- Physically fit and adaptable to the demands of the job.
- Positive attitude with flexibility for on-call duties (1 in 4 rotation) and occasional travel.
