Warehouse and X Ray Screener

This well established, expanding freight forwarding agent have a new position available for a Warehouse and X-Ray Screener based in Colnbrook, working a 4 on/4 off DAY OR NIGHT shift, hours are negotiable

• Location: Colnbrook, Slough
• Hours: 4 ON/4 OFF DAYS OR NIGHTS NEG 12HR. SHIFT TIMES
• Salary: £30-40K DOE & Neg plus overtime

As a Warehouse and/or X-Ray Screener you will be responsible for operating and conducting security checks of Cargo items being transported via air.

Your key responsibilities:

• Operate X-Ray screening equipment
• Examine items ready for export
• Analyse X-Ray images to identify any potential threats
• Conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air, in line with training and CAA regulations.
• Recording and escalating any issues or concerns
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment
• Experience gained in general warehouse duties, c/b forklift duties
• Utilise knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, common cargo abbreviations
• Pallet screening

Requirements:

• Previous experience in X-Ray screening preferred
• Previous experience in a time-sensitive environment is desirable
• Certification in Cargo X-Ray screening preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a faced paced environment
• Must be physically fit due to manual handling
• Excellent English communication skills; (verbal & written).
• Steady 5-year employment history in the UK - must be verifiable
• Clear Criminal Record Check (Basic DBS Check)
• Cargo Operative Screening Cert (preferred)
• FLT licence C/B
• Able to easily commute to Colnbrook, ideally with a Drivers Licence and own transport.
