Tradewind are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and talented English teacher to join an independent girls' school which is based in Islington. This role will start in April and is expected to be required for one year.

This client is a selective school, and the entrance procedure includes a non-calculator maths examination. As a consequence of selection, all the girls are of a good standard with much potential.

Essential

• Good qualifications - degree or equivalent in English.
• Competency in the use of ICT for administration, report writing and for carrying out the teaching of this subject.
• Good interpersonal skills of communication.
• A proven track record of success in teaching GCS and A Level Mathematics.
• Awareness of the appropriate safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
• Good organisational skills.

Desirable

• Experience of teaching a range of ages from preparatory to 6th Form.
• Experience as a form teacher.
• Desire to contribute to the wider life of the department

Our client is looking for an English teacher to teach all levels of English up to and including A level. The students are taught in four mixed-ability form groups for the duration of Year 7. English is one of the most popular choice at A-level with over half of the Sixth Formers taking it. Results are excellent both at GCSE and at A-level.

This position would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT
