Join us as a Capital Advisory Manager

  • This influential role will see you supporting the delivery of our capital management strategic plan
  • You’ll work with stakeholders to actively manage the business portfolio in line with our strategy and risk appetite
  • In doing so, you’ll benefit from excellent exposure as you face off to senior stakeholders including directors and executives
  • We're offering this role for a period of up to 12 months

What you'll do

As a Capital Advisory Manager, you’ll be driving engagement with business heads and function partners to help manage the portfolio in line with the executive committee’s strategy and risk appetite. You’ll play a key role in driving capital education and understanding, working with the function head to present and provide training across the teams.

Through collection, analysis and interpretation of data, you'll enable optimisation of risk-weighted assets (RWAs).

You’ll also be:

  • Supporting the directors to lead on capital related issues
  • Providing capital information on large transactions
  • Assisting in the analysis of capital allocation across business lines and products
  • Contributing to the bank’s endeavours to optimise our risk profile through RWA initiatives
  • Providing input to balance sheet, capital, sector and asset class budgeting and forecasting

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have industry experience gained in Basel regulation and commercial environments. As you’ll be engaging with senior stakeholders on a daily basis, we’ll look to you to bring strong communication and interpersonal skills.

You’ll also need:

  • A background of working in teams engaged in relationship management and portfolio management activities
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel or SQL
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of portfolio and capital management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of the relevant legal policies, regulatory obligations and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills
