Infrastructure Support Analyst - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

This role is for an Infrastructure Support Analyst to work within the Infrastructure team. You will work with the outsourced managed service provider and various other suppliers, including liaising with the technical teams. This will cover areas such as servers, end clients, cloud services, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Project team with all technical activities within planned timeframes and ensuring that project governance is followed.

• Management and troubleshooting of incidents relating to:

o Active Directory including Group Policy

o Windows Server environment

o Telephony and related infrastructure including Contact Centre and Call Recording applications

• Working with the infrastructure hosting provider to ensure infrastructure is aligned to the technical teams expectations.

• Working with the Security Lead to minimise the risk of security breaches with the new laptop rollout.

• To ensure compliance with IT infrastructure policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.

o Keep up to date with the latest developments within IT

o Delivering an effective operation built on development and professional standards

o Proactive ownership of complex operational issues and provide appropriate support to other team members

• To be a technical expert within the team, advising and supporting accordingly, providing guidance and advice in the area of best practise for managing the IT infrastructure.

• Ensure the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation, security and controls over all IT process, systems and infrastructure.

Skills, Competencies & Personal Qualities

• Strong Infrastructure and end user support skills and experience

• Contribute with ideas and suggestions on continuous service improvement

• Strong experience of incident and problem management including 3rd party service providers

• ITIL V3 Foundation qualified

• Must be able to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues both in the wider organisation, and with external stakeholders

• Ownership of tasks through to full completion and appropriate handover.

• Logical troubleshooting capability

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
