Maintenance Engineer

We are in search of a Mechanically Bias Maintenance Engineer for this manufacturing leader in Luton, Bedfordshire. With growth plans they are looking to elevate both efficency and customer quality.

This Monday - Friday days based role within this foward thinking business which is growing provides both reactive and planned maintenance

The role as a Maintenance Engineer:

Key Responsibilities as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Lead the maintenance and optimisation of mechanical systems to ensure peak operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimise production downtime.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programmes to enhance equipment longevity and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide detailed reports to management.

Skills and Experience Required for this Mechanical Engineer role:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Experience working with welding and fabrication equipment.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.

The package for this Maintenance Engineer role includes:

• Basic Salary £40,000- £45,000
• Working week of Monday - Friday (Early finish on Friday)
• 20 days Annual Leave
