Job Title: Qualified Tutor - Core Subjects
Location: Barnet, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: After February Half Term
Pay Rate: Starting from 25/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

In this role, you will work with students to develop their understanding and skills in subjects such as Maths, English, or Science. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning needs, helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. You will also have the opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) if you have relevant experience.

This position offers flexibility in working hours, allowing you to choose sessions that suit your schedule. The role will commence after the February half term, providing you with ample time to prepare and plan your approach.

• Deliver personalised one-to-one or small group tuition in core subjects (Maths, English, Science).
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and their parents or guardians.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet various learning styles, including those of students with SEN (if applicable).
• Create a supportive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment.

• QTS or PGCE in a core subject (Maths, English, or Science).
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (tutoring experience is also acceptable).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

• Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for education and a commitment to helping students excel.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
