Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The ideal candidate will possess excellent welding skills and be proficient in using power tools.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in accordance with specifications.
• Weld pipes using Stick welding techniques and other methods as required.
• Build and plumb piping systems to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on existing piping systems.
• Utilise power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining pipes.
• Read and interpret technical schematics to determine project requirements.
• Apply basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly Stick welding.
• Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.
• Ability to read and understand schematics related to plumbing systems.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
