Salary: £55,620 - £59,739 (dependent on experience)
Barking and Dagenham Council is looking for an experienced Team Manager to join their Children and Young People Hub. If you are passionate about working with children with disabilities and have a strong background in premises management and relationship-based management practice, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the CYPD Hub, ensuring the delivery of high-quality intervention and integrated services for disabled children, young people, and their families, in full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure that all children, young people, and families referred to the Hub receive appropriate and effective services tailored to their individual needs.
- Be responsible for the operational elements of premises management, including finance, administration, data collection, information management, building maintenance, and health & safety considerations.
- Ensure services are delivered within budget and meet or exceed quality standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for families contacting the centre, ensuring they are connected to relevant support services and developing a comprehensive bank of local information on support and advice for families with young children.
- Ensure that the quality and standards of professional practice and performance are maintained, delivering services that meet high standards and promote the welfare of children and families.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in working with children with disabilities and a deep understanding of the needs of disabled children and their families.
- Solid knowledge of premises management, including managing community venues, financial oversight, administration, and health and safety protocols.
- Strong experience in relationship-based management, with a focus on developing high-performing teams and building strong relationships with service users, families, and other stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets and ensuring service delivery is aligned with quality standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of managing integrated services and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
