HR Administrator
Location: Redbridge
Hours: 36 hours per week, term-time only (44.8 weeks per year)
Salary: £24,505.96 actual salary

About the Role
We're seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join a friendly, fast-paced HR team within a respected main stream secondary school.
This role would suit someone with previous school administration experience who enjoys variety, organisation, and keeping everything running seamlessly - from onboarding and payroll data to compliance and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the HR Team across the full employee lifecycle.
- Assist with recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring safeguarding and compliance procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and the Single Central Register (SCR) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support payroll by preparing accurate employee data and liaising with the Payroll team.
- Conduct pre-employment checks, including DBS, references, right to work, and qualifications.
- Track and monitor employee absences and probation periods, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.

- Good IT skills - experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR or MIS systems
- Attention to detail - accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and compliance tasks

- Teamwork and collaboration - able to work effectively as part of a small, supportive team
- Confidentiality and discretion - understand the importance of handling sensitive information appropriately
