Management Accountant

At Fresh People we are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team would consider newly qualified candidate. This role is essential in providing financial insights, preparing accurate management reports, and supporting business decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in a management accounting role.

The Person

This role would suit a newly qualified of part qualified management accountant ideally from the IT or Telecoms sector.Must have strong management accouting experience including financial reporting and variance analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel; experience with Sage Line 50 is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Produce variance analysis reports and provide insights into financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of annual and monthly budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Support the Finance Manager with year-end audit processes and statutory reporting.
• Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
• Provide financial support to department managers, aiding in their decision-making processes.
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.
• Handle ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.
