Our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established company.
You will be working alongside your team lead. You will:
- assist in reviewing construction drawings and specifications to understand project scope.
- support quantity take-offs and cost estimation for materials and labour.
- help prepare tender documentation and assist in evaluating subcontractor quotations.
- maintain and update databases for suppliers and subcontractors.
- assist in preparing interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
- monitor project budgets and report any discrepancies or risks.
- support the preparation of contractual letters and documentation.
- attend site visits and meetings with senior staff as required.
- document design changes and assist in updating cost forecasts.
- liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders under supervision.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of cost estimating software.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
