As a Metering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end metering lifecycle, including installation, maintenance, performance monitoring, and compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure metering systems operate efficiently and provide a seamless experience for customers, acting as the subject matter expert for metering within our clients UK operation.

Qualifications and Experience
Engineering degree qualified or hold a formal Electronics/controls qualification such as Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent recognised training
5 years plus experience working with metering in the utilities sector and operational environments
Experience in network infrastructure, architecture, and administration
Incorporated Engineer (IEng) - preferred

Knowledge and Skills

Ability to translate technical requirements into commercial impact, and to identify and manage risks in changing and challenging environments.
Demonstrated experience and good understanding of operational requirements from commercial and technical point of view
Excellent presentation and communication skills internally and externally
Able to influence key stakeholders including local authorities, developers, and energy partners
Risk management - strong understanding of commercial and technical risks and how it impacts the business
Good understanding of customer needs and customer types (local authorities, developers, commercial customers) and their drivers
Excellent engineering skills with good understanding of commercial approach, risks and challenges
Good knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements
Strong knowledge of zero carbon solutions and policy trends
