As an SEN Casework Officer, you'll play a vital role in managing and coordinating the Education, Health, and Care assessment and review process for children and young people aged 0-25. Working under the guidance of an SEN Senior Professional, you'll oversee statutory assessments and ensure that children and families receive the support they need.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload and coordinating the EHC assessment process Drafting, finalizing, and amending Plans. Attending annual reviews and presenting case-specific requests to the review panel.
Providing expert advice to parents, schools, and professionals on the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
Collaborating with key partners and the voluntary sector to ensure effective delivery of support. Please note, this role requires some independent travel to meetings.
We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable professional who is ready to hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of the EHC assessment and review process, the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Children and Families Act 2014.
Experience managing caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence in providing advice and guidance to parents and professionals.
GCSE English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
