Job Title: Warehouse ManagerLocation: Ashford, Kent (free onsite parking)Salary: c£35,000 / according to experienceHours: 7:30am - 5:00pm (or as required to meet business needs) Monday to FridayAre you a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse Manager looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a proactive and experienced individual to lead a busy warehouse operation in Ashford, Kent - ensuring efficient order fulfilment and high standards of stock management.You'll oversee a team of 7 direct reports and take ownership of the full warehouse function, from inventory control to courier optimisation and team development.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee inventory and storage management to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Manage all inbound and outbound operations, ensuring timely booking in and dispatch
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, including pick rates and booking-in times
• Implement KPIs and track performance against clear operational goals
• Manage the warehouse team, including staffing, development, and performance
• Take responsibility for cost control, including cost per order shipped and overtime management
• Oversee returns handling and process optimisation
• Champion technology adoption and implementation including reporting systems to streamline operations

Key Efficiency Targets:

• Maintain high levels of picking accuracy
• Improve stock turnover and overall organisation
• Achieve timely order fulfilment and consistent on-time despatch
• Drive courier cost savings and optimise logistics spend
• Improve booking-in times and picking speed
• Implement and manage measurable KPIs (e.g. orders per picker, lines picked per shift)
• Monitor cost controls and support budget adherence

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and KPIs
• Comfortable with warehouse technology and system implementation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
