What you'll do:

As a Clearing Operations Associate based in London, you will play an integral role in supporting the post-transaction management of exchange-traded derivative positions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve handling client queries with care and precision, maintaining open interest records across European markets, overseeing physical deliveries of various derivative products, facilitating option expiries, ensuring accurate allocation of business transactions, resolving reconciliation breaks promptly, supporting trade allocation processes, releasing regulatory reports on schedule, monitoring CCP reconciliations in real time, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance operational workflows. Success in this role requires you to be dependable, detail-oriented, responsive under pressure, and committed to delivering high-quality service while adapting quickly to new processes.

Manage client queries and communications related to derivatives.

Maintain open interest records across all European markets.

Oversee the end-to-end process of physical delivery for derivative products.

Manage and facilitate option expiry processes across all European markets.

Ensure all derivatives business is accurately allocated and claimed within required timelines to support seamless transaction processing.

Action and clear reconciliation breaks by T+1 through diligent monitoring and resolution activities.

Support trade allocation processes as well as break resolution and give-ups to maintain operational efficiency.

Release regulatory reports in accordance with deadlines while managing derivative settlements and physical deliveries.

Monitor real-time central counterparty (CCP) reconciliations to ensure accurate trade processing and settlement.

Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Client Operations, Control, and Operational Change Support.

What you bring:

Experience with derivatives products including associated clearing processes is essential. Experience using exchange GUIs or SEALs platforms would be advantageous (eg. Eurex GUI, ECS, LMEsmart). Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing when handling client queries or collaborating with colleagues on operational matters. Strong numeracy skills combined with speed and meticulous attention to detail when processing large volumes of transactions or reconciling data. Proven capability to meet regulatory deadlines while maintaining composure under pressure in a busy operations environment. Genuine enthusiasm for financial markets demonstrated through previous experience relevant to derivatives clearing or trade processing. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for data analysis or reporting purposes.
