Drainage & Plumbing Engineer - North London

We are looking for an experienced drainage and plumbing engineer to join our team.

• Drainage & plumbing, experience in mapping drains desired
• City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing
• High pressure water jetting qualification and SHEA or EUSR
• Min. of 40 hours availability required per week

The Role/ Duties

Our team provide a full range of drainage and plumbing services to residential and commercial property owners. We aim to finish a job in one visit so, as an Aspect engineer, you ll source parts, make repairs and quote for any further work required.

You ll be provided with confirmed bookings that relate to your specific expertise, on a constant basis. You ll earn for your time on-site, plus time for parts/materials collection. Typical bookings include:

• Repairing damaged drains using methods such as drain lining and patch repair work
• Clearing blockages from toilets, soil pipes, sinks, and shower and bath drains
• CCTV drainage mapping and surveys
• Fixing taps, sinks, toilets, and showers
• Installing new pumps and replacing broken ones
• Running pipework for washing machines and dishwashers
• Repairing toilet flush mechanisms

Clear communication with customers is essential. You ll be expected to provide reassurance by explaining the work you ll do for them and sharing your knowledge. You ll also be confident quoting for remedial work. Our bespoke software enables tradespeople to take responsibility for managing their own work rather than always relying on office-based support.

You ll be supported by an office-based Technical Manager. They ll provide advice and assistance and can arrange additional resource on jobs that escalate in size and complexity.

We try to provide engineers with bookings in the same geographic area. However, you ll be prepared to travel anywhere in and around the M25 but, due to our company expansion we will keep you as close to home as possible. You ll be required to be on call for cyclical evening and weekend coverage.

About you

You ll have at least 5 years of experience in both drainage and plumbing and good technical knowledge of a wide range of relevant parts and materials. Ideally, you ll hold a CSCS card and you ll have experience working in both domestic and commercial properties.

You will be confident at using your knowledge and experience to recommend best practice remedial work. You ll have excellent communication skills and experience in providing detailed scope of works and fixed price quotes. You re prepared to go the extra mile to help a customer. You take pride in always delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

You ll have your own hand tools; we ll supply specialist equipment such as a drain jetter and CCTV camera. You ll also have a valid UK driving licence and you ll be available to work for at least 40-hours per week.
