HV Engineer

My client are a reputable contractor who specialise in Control Panel & Substation manufacturing, Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance, Installation, and Emergency Response for high-voltage power systems! Due to an increase in projects they are looking for a HV Engineer to join their team, first project based in London.(PERM)

Ideal candidate

• Degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in HV Testing
• Understanding of Protection Systems (Distance, Differential, G99)
• Experience working in nuclear, military, and offshore sites (preferred)
• Full UK driving license required

Duties will include

• Designing and creating HV plans for new systems
• Installing HV switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
• Functional and electrical testing of new and existing systems
• Performing routine and intrusive maintenance on HV equipment
• Ensuring H&S on site
• Participating in a 24/7 emergency call-out rota
