A Global Investment Bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join the Corporate & Leveraged Finance team in London. This team is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing leveraged loan and high-yield bond transactions for private equity sponsors, telecoms, and corporate clients.
This is a dynamic role offering exposure to high-profile transactions, client interaction, and cross-functional collaboration across the bank.
The role is based in the City of London (hybrid working) with a salary banding of £80,000 to £100,000 along with excellent benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of client pitches, pricing updates, and market analysis.
- Conduct financial modelling and credit analysis for new transactions.
- Draft internal memos for credit and market committees.
- Support deal execution including due diligence, documentation review, and client meetings.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials such as Offering Memorandums, roadshow presentations, and DD questionnaires.
- Coordinate with internal teams including syndicate, legal, coverage, and compliance.
- Maintain pipeline data and ensure administrative tasks are completed (e.g. NDAs, KYC, profitability analysis).
- Monitor client portfolios and support annual reviews.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
- Experience in leveraged credit, structured finance, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of syndicated term loans and high-yield bond markets.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analytical research.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with financial sponsor community.
- Experience with internal systems (KIWIS, Diamond, Phidias, Eurecca, Anadefi, ClientLive).
