About this client: Zach is well known to Snap Care and we have had the pleasure of working with him since he was a teeny tot! He is now soon to be 9 years old, and lives at home with his Mummy, Daddy, and younger brother in his fully adapted home (manual hoists). Zach has his own dedicated team of Support Workers provided 1:1 support (day and night), and a privately instructed therapy team focusing on his rehabilitation. Zach is an outgoing, happy, energetic, and confident young chap with a love for singing, music, and sensory play, and is very outdoorsy. Zach has Cerebral Palsy which affects his overall development; he is a wheelchair user and requires support with all his health and care needs and, all aspects of movement and handling. Zach is great with his verbal communication and, uses PECs and Makaton to support his expressive communication.

Overview of role: This role focusses on providing 1:1 support to Zach after school and assisting with the afternoon / evening routine. The position starts with picking up the WAV at Zach s home, driving to his local school, then either returning home or heading off to extra-curricular activities or therapy appointment. A key part of this role is implementing Zach s therapy and rehabilitation programme in a fun and creative way, all based around play! Training is provided by his therapists. Zach requires practical support to assist him with his personal care, ADLs, self-help and independence skills. There is an established routine in place, and at the end of your shift you will complete a handover with Zach s waking night carer. Zack would very much like his SEN Support Worker to plan and organise activities. Additional hours are available if required and paid at the same hourly rate.

Who this job would suit: A fun, creative, bubbly, and confident SEN Support Worker keen to learn new skills. This is an ideal position if you are interested in learning more about therapy. If you love to laugh, sing and dance this is the role for you!

What s great about this job: Everything! Of course, supporting Zach is the best part of this role; whilst he will absolutely keep you on your toes and is full of mischief, we guarantee he will make you laugh and smile every day! This role comes highly recommended by current Snap Care Support Workers. Excellent training, ongoing supervision and support provided.
