Section Engineer - Major Highways Project (Wisley, Surrey)
Location: Wisley, Surrey
Rate: 400- 450 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 6 months (Freelance)

We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highways infrastructure project in Wisley, Surrey. This is a freelance opportunity offering a competitive daily rate of 400- 450 (inside IR35) for an initial 6-month contract.
The role will involve overseeing key elements of highway construction, including S278 works, roundabout construction, and major infrastructure works. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in highways, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience coordinating with stakeholders and contractors on complex projects.

  Provide technical leadership and engineering support on highways and infrastructure works.
• 
  Oversee S278 works, roundabout construction, and other major project components.
• 
  Ensure compliance with design specifications, health & safety regulations, and project requirements.
• 
  Support the Site Agent in planning, programming, and delivering works efficiently.
• 
  Work closely with stakeholders, local authorities, and third parties to ensure smooth project progression.
• 
  Supervise subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
• 
  Carry out quality control checks, ensuring work meets project specifications.
• 
  Assist in resolving technical and design-related issues on-site.

• 
  Strong highways experience, including major roadworks.
• 
  Knowledge of S278 agreements, roundabouts, and major infrastructure projects.
• 
  Experience in stakeholder management and liaising with local authorities.
• 
  CSCS and SMSTS certification preferred.
• 
  Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• 
  Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
