Year 1 Teacher - Woking

Academics Ltd are recruiting for a Year 1 Class Teacher to work in a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Woking on a full-time basis. This role is due to start as soon as possible and will continue on an ongoing basis for the right candidate.

Our client school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, happy, and motivated to succeed. Staff work collaboratively to ensure that every child develops the skills and confidence needed to thrive, and they are now seeking a Year 1 Teacher who can inspire and engage pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1.

As a KS1 Teacher in this school, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons
• Working alongside a Teaching Assistant
• Safeguarding all pupils
• Marking work in line with school policy
• Attending meetings where necessary

The Year 1 Teacher role:

• Full-time, starting ASAP on an ongoing basis
• Working in a supportive 2-form entry school
• Teaching a Year 1 class in KS1

To apply for this Year 1 Class Teacher role, you will need:

• Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs are also encouraged to apply
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
• A strong school reference from your most recent employer or placement
