Quality Inspector - Job Type: Full-time

- Salary: £16 to £18 per hour dependent on experience
We are currently with a precision CNC machining facility based in Luton who are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of their products. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
Day-to-day of the role: - Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Perform shop floor patrols to monitor the production process and identify any discrepancies.
- Carry out first-off and final inspections, including FAIR reporting as required.
- Participate in the deburring process to ensure smooth and clean product finishes.
- Operate and potentially program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to measure parts for conformity.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to verify product specifications.
- Manage and maintain inspection equipment, such as gauges and micrometers, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.
- Work closely with production teams to communicate quality issues and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience in a similar inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience with CMM operation; programming skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with using various checking equipment like gauges and MICs.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
