Ocean Export Operator - Freight Forwarding

Are you an experienced Ocean Export professional looking to join a dynamic and growing freight forwarding team? We have an exciting opportunity for an Ocean Export Operator to play a key role in managing international shipments from initial enquiry through to final documentation and customer satisfaction.

The Role:

As an Ocean Export Operator, you will be responsible for arranging the smooth movement of FCL and LCL ocean freight shipments. You'll liaise directly with shipping lines, handle export documentation, ensure customs compliance, and provide first-class service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage LCL & FCL export shipments from booking to delivery

• Liaise with shipping lines,carriers and overseas agents

• Prepare and complete all export documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists)

• Complete export documents using NES/CDS systems

• Provide accurate quotes and costing to customers

• Maintain consistent communication to meet and exceed customer expectations

• General freight administration and coordination duties

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in Ocean Export operations within a freight forwarding environment

• Strong understanding of international shipping processes, documentation, and customs procedures

• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously

• Familiarity with freight software systems (e.g., CargoWise, ASM Sequoia, etc. - optional to include)
