Yard Operative

Location: Milton Keynes (Initially Based in Bedford)
Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (Overtime & Weekends Required)
Salary: £26,500 £30,000 (Depending on Experience) + Overtime

Job Overview:

We are looking for a hard-working, physically fit Yard Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving heavy manual labour and working outdoors in all weather conditions. It will suit someone with experience in construction, scaffolding, or general labouring.

Initially, you will be required to travel to our Bedford site while we transition to Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe yard, minimising risks and reporting concerns.
• Prepare, load, and unload equipment safely, ensuring compliance with VOSA requirements.
• Carry out equipment inspections, servicing, and stock management.
• Complete administrative tasks, including reporting near-misses, damages, and stock shortages.
• Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards in the workplace.

What to Expect:

• Hard Graft This role requires physical strength, endurance, and a strong work ethic.
• Overtime & Weekend Work Peak season runs from May to September, where significant overtime and weekend work will be required.
• Outdoor Work You ll be working in all weather conditions.
